Sustainability
We were only selling our products in France at the very start (when we were young!). From our house to our first local customers. It was a perfect model until the first international orders came.
At this moment, the big question was: how can we deal with sustainability? How can we maintain a responsible model with low CO2 emissions with worldwide shipping from France?
And guess what? WE FOUND A WAY!
From your country to your house
We now rely on a network of local producers of more than 100 production partners in 33 countries (see more details in our FAQ). Our local partners allow us to distribute your creations worldwide and help us reduce our carbon emissions. They bring us closer to a more sustainable system.
How do we meet the highest environmental requirements?
At Mappora, we're printing your posters on FSC-certified paper®. That label means the paper is made of responsibly sourced wood fiber.
When the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) certifies that a paper is made of responsibly sourced wood fiber, that paper earns the FSC® label. FSC® certification is a necessary standard. It states that the forests where the wood fiber comes from are managed in a way that reduces their environmental impact.
From water quality to protecting local communities, wildlife, and loss of natural canopy, the FSC® sets standards for responsible forest management.
How do we support the Sustainable Development Goals?
The UN Global Compact has defined several Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs). At Mappora, our mode of operation and creation is based on companies following the SDGs.
